Patreon withdrawal history: wallet Complete is not bank credit
Updated · 3 min read
In Patreon withdrawal history, Complete can mean the funds reached a wallet, not the bank account you are reconciling. The Amount field describes the requested withdrawal; initiated, failed or returned attempts do not all represent successful bank credits.
The desktop apps export date, description, and amount as CSV. Open CSV in Excel to save an XLSX workbook. Statement support varies: verify the result against your own PDF.
Choose the document and destination
- Open Payouts → Documents and obtain withdrawal history for the investigation.
- Retain withdrawal identity, requested amount, method, status and destination before comparing a bank line.
- If the destination is an intermediate wallet, obtain its separate authorized withdrawal evidence for the bank stage.
- Keep monthly processed earnings, patron transactions, refunds and withdrawal history as different source populations. Do not infer one patron event maps to one bank payout.
Patreon’s Payouts dashboard guide defines these records and statuses. Its payout-method guidance and fee explanation concern the method and fee stages, not a universal promise for every country.
Read destination and status together. A PayPal or Payoneer wallet is an intermediate destination; its later bank withdrawal needs its own evidence. Sent can refer to supporting another creator, so it must not be blindly classified as a payout to your bank. Keep failed and returned attempts rather than deleting them to make row counts match.
Separate processing from payout fees
Fees already deducted during processing and fees associated with a later payout belong to different stages. Do not deduct the earlier processing cost a second time from the requested withdrawal. Payment methods depend on country and eligibility: current guidance distinguishes US Stripe bank payments, Payoneer bank or wire outside the US, and eligible wallet routes. No method is promised for every country.
The synthetic wallet exercise stipulates a 100 withdrawal request to a wallet, a 2 payout fee and 98 received there. Only a separate, evidenced wallet-to-bank movement of 98 supports that bank receipt. A failed 100 attempt is retained but not counted as another receipt. An earlier 5 processing fee is not deducted again from the 100 request.
| Fictional stage | Amount in one unspecified currency | What it proves in the example |
|---|---|---|
| Earlier processing fee | 5 | Already deducted before the request |
| Withdrawal request to wallet | 100 | Requested amount, not bank receipt |
| Stipulated payout fee | −2 | Deducted at withdrawal stage |
| Wallet receipt | 98 | Arrival at the intermediate destination |
| Separate wallet-to-bank observation | 98 | Evidence for the bank stage |
| Failed attempt | 100 | Retained attempt, no additional receipt |
These fee values are invented for the arithmetic, not Patreon pricing. Equal wallet and bank amounts alone would not establish the link without the separately stipulated movement evidence.
Preserve the missing link
Keep processed earnings, withdrawal and bank observation as separate records; do not assume one patron transaction maps to one payout. Missing wallet history or unclear fee evidence remains unresolved. The example tests stage distinctions and amounts, not Patreon payment execution, country eligibility or fee pricing.
