LocalExtract’s blog is written and maintained by the team that builds the software. The team’s byline, this policy and our About page identify the publisher.

Our Accuracy Standards

• Product features: We claim only features live in the released version. Planned features are labeled as such.
• Competitor descriptions: We use publicly available websites, documentation and store listings. We do not make claims we cannot verify from public sources.
• Regulatory references: Laws and regulations, including the FTC Safeguards Rule, GLBA and state privacy laws, link to official sources. We do not cite penalties or enforcement statistics without a primary source.
• Pricing: Competitor prices reflect publicly listed prices at the time of writing. We include date disclaimers and encourage readers to verify current prices directly.
• Testing: When describing test results, we explain our actual methodology and limitations, including sample size, hardware and statement types.

Publisher and Commercial Relationships

We do not accept third-party payment to mention products and have no affiliate relationships influencing tool descriptions. Articles do not need a repeated publisher-disclosure banner. Any additional sponsorship, referral commission or paid recommendation is identified alongside the relevant content.

Corrections

We correct inaccurate information directly in the article. Significant factual corrections are noted in the article, explaining what changed and when.

Content Freshness

Formats, prices and regulations change. We periodically review articles and update material information. “Last updated” reflects the latest substantive edit, not minor formatting changes.
