App Store Connect: fiscal report versus bank payment CCI
Updated · 2 min read
An App Store Connect financial report follows Apple’s fiscal month, while your bank follows actual posting dates. Do not compare a calendar month’s bank deposits with an assumed identical financial-report period or treat estimated proceeds as the final amount sent.
The desktop apps export date, description, and amount as CSV. Open CSV in Excel to save an XLSX workbook. Statement support varies: verify the result against your own PDF.
Download for the right entity and period
- With Account Holder, Admin or Finance access, choose the relevant entity and vendor.
- Open Reports → Create Reports and select fiscal month and location.
- Generate and download the report, preserving its identifiers and original archive.
- Read the GZIP-compressed, tab-delimited TXT with its actual delimiter. Renaming it CSV does not convert tabs to commas.
Apple’s financial-report download instructions document the report selection and file format. Its payments-and-proceeds guidance describes the issued-payment evidence used below.
Use Apple’s actual fiscal calendar, not a guessed calendar-month boundary. Multiple vendor numbers or legal entities can exist. A report from the wrong entity can look plausible while failing to explain this bank account’s credit.
Follow the issued payment reference
Inspect the payment view for issued date, bank currency and the seven-digit Transaction ID/CCI used in transfer details. Compare that actual reference with the bank source. Reported estimated proceeds, issued payment and bank amount are distinct stages. Bank or intermediary charges may explain a difference only when the evidence supports those charges; do not subtract an assumed fee. Source: issued-payment and CCI evidence.
The synthetic entity exercise assigns payment 420 and fictional CCI 1234567 to vendor A. Vendor B has the same 420 but CCI 7654321. Only the first matches the supplied bank reference. An estimate of 430 is not substituted for the issued 420. No real fiscal-month dates, Apple fees or vendor credentials are implied.
| Synthetic stage and vendor | Fictional CCI | Amount in one unspecified currency | Relation to supplied bank record |
|---|---|---|---|
| Issued payment, vendor A | 1234567 | 420 | Same CCI and amount |
| Issued payment, vendor B | 7654321 | 420 | Different CCI despite equal amount |
| Bank observation | 1234567 | 420 | Supplied matching evidence for A |
| Estimated proceeds | Not stipulated | 430 | Not substituted for issued payment |
Keep missing evidence visible
Retain entity, vendor, fiscal report, issued payment and actual bank observation together. If the payment currency differs from the report currency, obtain the actual conversion evidence rather than summing unlike amounts. This example checks identity and stage selection, not App Store Connect downloads or bank transfers.
