Airbnb UK: whose payout records explain the bank credit?
Updated · 3 min read
An Airbnb UK listing owner and co-host may need their own authorized payout records to explain separate bank credits. The owner cannot see the co-host’s transaction history. A co-host’s access to earnings also does not grant access to everyone’s payout methods or taxpayer information.
The desktop apps export date, description, and amount as CSV. Open CSV in Excel to save an XLSX workbook. Statement support varies: verify the result against your own PDF.
Identify whose earnings and destination you are checking
- After a confirmed booking, identify whose own authorized Earnings record is being reviewed.
- For the documented host route, open Today → Menu → Earnings and choose Paid or Upcoming with the relevant filters.
- Choose Get report, select the needed fields and Create report. Retain reservation, payout, destination and report context.
- Obtain the other recipient’s minimum necessary supporting record through an authorized channel; do not infer their receipt from the owner’s record.
Airbnb’s earnings-download instructions describe the host reporting route. Co-host payout guidance and role permissions define the visibility and UK program limits below; not every co-host role exposes the same controls.
Only the listing owner sets co-host payouts. Full-access permission to review earnings does not permit viewing or changing the owner’s or another co-host’s payout-method and taxpayer details. Obtain the minimum authorized supporting records from each person instead of sharing credentials or exporting another person’s complete history.
Check the UK program and reservation type
The UK Resident Hosting program does not support co-host payouts. Do not promise that every UK listing can use an automatic split. Home-stay co-host sharing also does not encompass Services, Experiences, damage-protection or Resolution Center payouts. Establish the actual program and payment type before interpreting a missing share as an error.
The synthetic permission exercise stipulates a permitted home-stay payout split of 800 to the owner and 200 to a co-host. Two independently supplied destination observations support those two credits; the owner’s 800 alone cannot prove the co-host received 200. A second, UK Resident Hosting case is blocked from assuming that split. These checks test the stated permission boundaries, not Airbnb bookings or payout settings.
| Fictional permitted home-stay recipient | Stipulated share | Supplied destination observation | What that observation supports |
|---|---|---|---|
| Owner | 800 | 800 | Owner’s credit only |
| Co-host | 200 | 200 | Co-host’s separately supplied credit |
| Both records | 1,000 total | Two observations | Both stipulated shares |
Amounts use one unspecified currency. Keeping only the owner’s 800 leaves the co-host’s receipt unproved. The separate UK Resident Hosting control does not permit assuming this split at all.
Keep the bank evidence separate
A scheduled share, an upcoming payout and an actual destination credit are different stages. Record them independently with the permitted reservation context. For a wallet or other intermediate destination, preserve that stage rather than asserting direct bank receipt. Hold a missing report, unsupported program or unavailable recipient evidence for review; do not change someone’s payout settings during a reconciliation investigation.
